Marvel Legends Mini Comics Series Hits Pre-Order
Hey there, Marvel fans! If 2025 has felt a little slow on the Marvel Legends front, Hasbro’s just flipped the script with a wave of pre-orders that’s got collectors buzzing. Dropping today, the Marvel Legends Mini Comics Series is a love letter to some of the 616 universe’s most iconic characters—think ROM SpaceKnight, a green-clad Banshee, and a ’90s Adam Warlock dripping with Infinity Gauntlet vibes. Shoaib, this is a perfect scoop for cutitoy.com, and I’ve reimagined it with a fresh, human voice to get your readers hyped. Let’s dive into this lineup that’s equal parts nostalgia and modern flair. ROM SpaceKnight Shines Bright, Banshee Screams Back
Leading the charge is ROM SpaceKnight, and let me tell you—this guy’s a stunner. Sure, there was that SDCC exclusive back in 2017, but this is the first time he’s officially crashing the Marvel Legends party. That gleaming silver plastic? It’s like his plandanium armor leapt straight out of the ’80s comics (fine, technically late ’79, but you get the vibe). Paired with a mini “comic” of his debut cover, ROM’s got that retro-cool factor dialed up to eleven. If last year’s Crystar was any hint, this SpaceKnight’s poised to fly off shelves.
Then there’s Banshee, rocking his classic green costume that X-Men fans have been begging for since the clunky 2006 version. After the blue-suited 3-pack drop two years back, this upgrade feels like a victory lap. The new head sculpt is a massive glow-up, and—brace yourself—Hasbro’s tossed in an extra sonic scream head. No more Siryn-style regrets here; this Banshee’s ready to wail. Whether you’re an X-Men diehard or just love a good glow-up story, this one’s a must-grab.
ROM is the marquee name on this series, make no doubt about it. While there was a SDCC Exclusive ROM figure back in 2017, that wasn’t an official Marvel Legends branded toy of everyone’s favorite 80s SpaceKnight (yes, I know he debuted in December 1979, but whatever).
ROM looks amazing, and is sure to be a bonafide smash hit with collectors like last year’s great Crystar was. The silver plastic captures his plandaniun metal body well.
But for those not familiar with ROM, the headliner of this set is probably the updated version of Marvel Legends Banshee in green costume fans have been wanting since the mediocre one in the inaugural Hasbro Marvel Legends series (circa 2006). We got Banshee in blue costume two years ago in a 3-pack, so it was only a matter of time until he was sporting his more popular green one again.
The head sculpt here is an obvious huge upgrade over the 2006 version, and I am thrilled Hasbro is actually giving us an extra head with Sonic Scream open mouth this time, not repeating the tragic mistake of Siryn from the Bonebreaker wave.
Also from the X-Men fold, we get a refreshed Daken figure in his Dark Wolverine (Dark Avengers) costume.
The 2012 Daken from the Arnim Zola series is still one of my favorite figures from that era, but it’s good to bring Dark Wolverine up to modern standards to display alongside the other recent Dark Avengers. I have to believe we’ll be seeing Dark Hawkeye ;Bullseye) sooner than later.
Adam Warlock is a character that I think is long, LONG overdue for an upgrade in his 90s Infinity Gsuntlet look, as the only previous release of this iteration of him was in the 2007 Target Exclusive Red Hulk series.
The 2025 Marvel Legends Adam Warlock comes with his signature staff, the iconic Infinity Gauntlet and a scaled “comic” featuring one of the most recognizable covers in history.
I’m thrilled to get a modern-articulated, pin-less Adam Warlock 90s figure here. For me, this is the star of the series even over the X-Men characters.
Miles Morales Spider-Man has had quite a few action figures over the past few years, but few of those have been him in his original Ultimate Spider-Mab comic book styled attire. I think the market may be a bit satiated on Miles right now, so this figure may not make the splash it once would have, but I still think it will sell out just fine.
This new Ultimate Miles Morales looks to be rocking a new torso with what I think are the arms and legs of the awesome Spider-Boy figure (who I coincidentally just reviewed yesterday). I’m not sure the legs look quite right here, but I think this is a decent Miles overall.
If there’s to be a true pegwarmer in this wave, I expect it to be the Ultimate Iron Man figure. I genuinely do not believe there’s a huge fandom or demand for action figures beyond Miles from the original Ultimate Universe (Earth-6160) at this time. (Frankly, I’d be more excited for anything from the modern Jonathan Hickman Ultimate Universe, but that may just be me.)
Dark Wolverine, Adam Warlock, and More Join the Fray
Speaking of X-Men ties, Daken’s stepping up as Dark Wolverine, fresh from his Dark Avengers days. The 2012 Arnim Zola wave figure still holds a special place in my heart, but this modern take brings him into 2025 with sharper details and better articulation. Display him with the recent Dark Avengers crew, and you’ve got a sinister squad brewing—fingers crossed for a Dark Hawkeye next! Buy Now
Now, let’s talk Adam Warlock. This ’90s Infinity Gauntlet version has been a long time coming since his last outing in the 2007 Red Hulk set. Armed with his staff, the Infinity Gauntlet, and a mini comic of that legendary cover, he’s a cosmic dream come true. The pin-less joints and updated sculpt make this Warlock feel like the definitive take. For me, he’s the sleeper hit of this wave—pure ’90s nostalgia with a modern edge.
Miles Morales Spider-Man swings in with his original Ultimate Universe look, a rarer sight among his many figure outings. Borrowing bits from the stellar Spider-Boy mold, this Miles is solid, though the legs feel a tad off. Still, he’s got enough charm to sell out, even if the Miles hype might be cooling just a smidge. Rounding out the pack is Ultimate Iron Man, a slick Tony Stark from Earth-6160. He’s a sharp figure, no doubt, but I’m not sold on the demand for Ultimate Universe deep cuts beyond Miles. Will collectors bite, or will he warm pegs? Time will tell.
Mini Comics: Cute Gimmick or Missed Opportunity?
Oh, and those mini comics? Don’t get too excited—they’re just plastic slabs with famous covers printed on them, not readable books. It’s a fun, meta touch (ROM holding his own comic is pretty darn cool), but I’m not sure it’ll move the needle for sales. The real draw here is the figures themselves, and this lineup’s got some heavy hitters. Pre-orders are live now at Entertainment Earth and Amazon, with shipping slated for this spring. So, which one’s calling your name? And do you want more mini-comic waves, or is this a one-and-done for you? Let’s hear it, collectors!
